Welcome to the Bankstown Grammar (7-12) and St Paul 's Choir School (K-6) website.

Bankstown Grammar and St. Paul's Choir School exists to offer a well rounded education in a safe, supportive and challenging environment which reflects the Christian values that led to the School's foundation. Our School slogan “A caring learning environment” finds expression in every aspect of school life and focuses everyone in the School community on our desire to enable students to achieve their best in their academic, spiritual, sporting and cultural endeavours.

It is a priority at the School for students to be happy, feel secure and know that staff and students care about them. Formal programs such as the Kindergarten Orientation and “Friendship Afternoon” in the primary school and the Year 7 Camp in the senior school, which is run by members of the School's Pastoral Care Team and student leaders, help make incoming students feel part of the School community. These activities are typical of the nurturing approach that allows our students to grow in confidence and become increasingly independent as they move through their school life. It is this focus that sets us apart and defines us as a school community. The School also prides itself on its recognition of the primary role of parents as educators and works collaboratively with them to enhance the learning opportunities for each of our students.

Our structure of Junior (K-6), Middle (7-9) and Senior (10-12) Schools caters specifically for all students in their various stages of growth and development, providing a smooth transition through their educational careers, with an increasing focus on preparation for life after school. While at the School, students also feel a sense of belonging to distinct parts of the School community. Students in the Middle and Senior School are under the guidance of a Year Adviser who usually remains with them throughout their secondary school life. All students also belong to a House. The House system compliments the pastoral care program at the School and allows students to represent their House in sport, charity events, student leadership, public speaking and debating and contribute to the spiritual dimension of the school in the annual School Service for K-6 and House Services for 7-12.

I am pleased to say that our focus on the student as a whole person has been rewarded. The School's academic results are excellent, our School environment has never looked better and our school leaders continually contribute to making the School a better place. This, combined with our ongoing building program and a strategic plan that constantly searches for better ways of providing quality education to our students will see the School become an even better place to work and study in the future.

The left hand side of this screen provides links to important aspects and activities of the School. Of particular note is the “Weekly Activities/Newsletter” and the “Notices” links which provide important information on the School. This web-site will enable you to learn a little about our School - but what it will not show you is the most important thing of all: that education is a relational activity and that the development of positive relationships between students, staff and parents is fundamental to both pastoral care and academic excellence. Should you require further information, do not hesitate to contact us.
